Toys for Tots Toy Drive
December 2011

Arbor Oaks Memory Care was proud to be part of the Newberg Fire Department benefit for “Toys for Tots” toy drive. Together with our residents, staff, families and friends Arbor Oaks collected over one-hundred toys to be distributed to local children in need. As a community, different organizations collected over $10,000 of toys. Executive Director, Dana Evans stated, It’s a wonderful feeling, making Christmas memories for a children.”

Happy Halloween!

Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care held a Halloween Party for the local neighborhood to give children a safe place for Trick or Treating. "We opened our doors to several schools and to our neighbors," stated Dana Evans, Executive Director of Arbor Oaks Terrace.

"We had a day-long staff costume party and in the afternoon the children of our staff came over to collect candy as well," continued Evans. Candy, a scavenger hunt, and over 20-children and their families were found at Arbor Oaks Terrace on Halloween.

Arbor Oaks Gifts George Fox University
October 26, 2011

Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care Residence has gifted $5,000 to George Fox University to support its academic, athletic, musical and other university related programs.  "We are proud to support this outstanding institution with our gift and look forward to building upon this relationship through Arbor Oaks Terrace and our commitment to community involvement," stated Greg Roderick, CEO of Frontier Management, the management entity of Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care.

2011 Walk to End Alzheimer's
September 25, 2011

A team of 3 walkers from Arbor Oaks Terrace joined the nearly 160 member team of Frontier Management as the Presenting sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Association annual Walk To End Alzheimer’s in Portland, Oregon.

“It is so important for us to be involved in this event and bringing a team to represent our residents is equally important as we are advocates and caregivers to their well-being,” stated Mary Robinson, Regional Vice President of Frontier Management and Interim Executive Director of Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care.

Collectively, Frontier Management and its many communities raised over $20,000 through its sponsorships, donations, fundraising activities and other means.

Hearts of Gold Celebration

Arbor Oaks Terrace was a proud sponsor in the 2011 Providence Newberg Health Foundation "Hearts of Gold Celebration." The event honors individuals and organizations who make a difference in the community through their talent, time and resources. Proceeds benefit the Mike Olberding Education Fund, supporting the advancement and continuing educational needs of Providence Newberg Medical Center’s nurses and employees.
